Abstract

The Automatic Fertilizer Dispensing System is a smart agricultural system developed to reduce manual effort and improve the efficiency of fertilizer application. The proposed system uses an ESP8266 Wi-Fi controller, motor driver module, servo motor, rechargeable battery pack, fertilizer storage container, and a mobile platform. The ESP8266 provides wireless communication and allows the user to control the system through a web page using its IP address. The motor driver controls the movement of the mobile platform, while the servo motor operates the fertilizer dispensing mechanism. When a command is given through the web interface, the system moves in the required direction and the fertilizer can be dispensed at the desired location. The system does not use any sensors in the current prototype. This system helps in minimizing fertilizer wastage, preventing over-fertilization, and improving crop growth. It also reduces labor costs and supports modern farming techniques. By promoting precise and controlled fertilizer application, the system contributes to higher productivity and sustainable agricultural practices.
