A Study on Cooling and Dehumidification Process of a Heat Pump Drying System at Low Temperature
Keywords:
steady-state, dehumidification of dampAbstract
When compared to the traditional drying process, the low-temperature heat pump drying technology has gained
popularity since it improves product quality in postharvest settings. Moist air passing through evaporator coils is
cooled and dehumidified, which primarily affects the heat pump dryer's efficiency. However, there aren't any
relationships between mass and heat transport to help solve the issues. This work presents initial efforts to bridge
the gaps in the heat and mass transfer problem. Basic equations for mass and energy are used to create a
mathematical model. The Taylor series approach was utilized to solve the model's numerical solutions. The study's
findings include the steady-state dehumidification of damp air using simple tube coils.
